Jacqueline began her career working at architectural studios with a focus on new building designs in up and coming Long Island City. As a New York City Expediter, Jacqueline acquired a great deal of experience in the areas of building codes and zoning consulting, giving her a competitive edge. She gained the experience, leverage, and confidence needed to venture out on her own.
In the summer of 1992, she established JMV Associates, LLC, as a consulting firm providing building code reviews, zoning analysis and expediting services. Once licensed as a Registered Architect, Jacqueline founded JMV Architect, PLLC, as an architectural firm specializing in designs for public and private sectors. She is diligently involved in all phases of the design, from its inception stage through construction administration of new buildings, major renovations, and adaptive reuse projects.
For 15 years, Jacqueline served as Trustee and Chair of Buildings of Grounds Committee for The Kew Forest School; she continues to serve on the Advisory Committee. Additionally, she serves as Director of the Queens Foundation for Architecture & as Secretary of the Executive Committee of the AIA Queens Chapter.
More recently Jacqueline serves as host for various high school internship programs such as CTE Program at Bayside High School and The School Construction Authority Summer Internship. Furthermore, she is a member of the planning committee for the 2020 NASCC Architect’s Program.
Both JMV Associates, LLC and JMV Architect, PLLC are certified as Minority Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) with New York City and State. Jacqueline’s vision and passion for architecture and design continue to drive her to deliver unparallel services within the industry. Nevertheless, she has built a stellar reputation in the industry while leading a team of dedicated professionals to the success the company has today.
